Countdown

May 17, 2012 | My Jottings

We are moving in fourteen days (are you tired of hearing about this yet?), and I’m trying to stay calm. There is still so much to do, even though I’ve tried to make steady progress each day. Screaming tendonitis in my right elbow tells me I’m doing too much; the cupboards and closets still not packed tell me I’m not doing enough.

So I’m going to take a little blog rest. I will be back when we’re all moved into our new house, and I’ll have pictures and brilliant anecdotes about how the movers carried this chair, and the electrician hooked up this wire, and how the Schnauzers adjusted to the new yard, and how the view of Lake Superior looks from a stone’s throw away, and how Michael and I like sleeping on a new king-sized bed — things you’ll be so very anxious to read about. 🙂

Thank you again for stopping by my little blog, dear friends and family.

Blessings,

All the best. Looking forward to pics & meanwhile prayers for safe passage into your new life. Blessings on all [but especially the Halleluija Hounds.]

  2. Just Julie says:

Thank you Ganeida. Yes, the hounds are going to need prayer…I don’t want to think about the looks on their faces when they see the size of the yard, which is about 1/8 what they are used to. I hope they don’t pout. xxoo

  3. Roberta says:

My thoughts and prayers will be with you the whole time. My hope is that the move to your new home will go as smoothly as possible; and, that all of you will enjoy relief and feelings of good things to come, when you have settled in.

  4. Just Julie says:

Thank you for your kindness, Roberta. I say an amen to your hope and prayers. xxoo

  5. Savannah says:

I’m excited to hear all about it! =D
I’ll be praying for you, that you have time management, that things get done efficiently, that you aren’t too overwhelmed or stressed and that your elbow stops hurting!! I love you!!

(One of the FIRST things I will be saving up for and purchasing when I start my job and get paychecks…. is a bigger bed! No more twin for me! yay!)

  6. Just Julie says:

Thank you my dear niece. Yes…a big bed. Get at least a queen sized one! I love you too…..

  7. Lloyd says:

Put the coffee on in your new digs. I’ll stop by with a clerical house blessing. The fee: a goodie to go with the coffee. Home June 21.

  8. Just Julie says:

I will absolutely expect you, Lloyd! We’ll be right down by the Lakewalk. I’ll make something yummy and we will be blessed by your blessing. Thank you!

  9. Larry says:

A new house, a new lease on life, a new view of peace from your new abode, a new wire to be in the ground installed, a new way of rising seeing now all things from the east from which He comes, a new “busyness” with new wall paper, a new home office with a new view on life, may all things you enjoy and may all things come to you in Him as you finally begin to settle in.

  10. Just Julie says:

I am very much looking forward to that view, and to settling in, Lar. xxoo

  11. Dorothy Sooter says:

I really believe it is going to go very smooth for you. You are so
organized and getting the storage units will be such a big help.
I have been in San Luis for ten years and remember moving day
like it was yesterday. Your dad decided to operate on his toe the
night before. It was so sore all he could do was watch. From that
point on every three months he went to a foot Doctor. Congratulations
on your new bed. I surprised your dad with a new bed on his
Birthday. The guys that moved us made disparaging remarks
about our bed so I knew it was time. I envy you your view, looking
out at the ocean for fifteen years was very therapeutic. Would
love to know the measurements of the master bedroom. Will
pray that God is with you and healing your elbow.

  12. Just Julie says:

Thank you for your prayers, Dorothy. I will always love that view from Morro Bay too. Very good memories. That was pretty bad timing about Dad’s toe surgery…hmmmm. 😉 LY….

  13. Helen in Switzerland says:

Thinking of you and hoping everything is going well!!! Oh…and that you absolutely LOVE your new home!!

  14. Just Julie says:

Thank you so much Helen! xxoo

  15. Ember says:

“All shall be well and all shall be well, and all manner of thing shall be well.”

    xxxx <3

  16. Just Julie says:

Thank you Ember….come and visit us. Let your bat thorts talk you into it! 🙂

  17. Shari C. says:

Joy to you in your new home, Julie! I love the photo – it looks like such a welcoming home…a pretty and pleasant place to share life 🙂

  18. Just Julie says:

How nice of you to say so, Shari! Thank you….
