Land of Two Seasons

January 19, 2012 | My Jottings

It’s been said that Minnesota is the land of two seasons:

1. Winter is coming
2. Winter is here

We have -13 Fahrenheit, -25 Celsius on our front porch this morning.

God bless and warm your day, dear friends…

    Stay warm, Julie!
They say we have two seasons in Seattle, too:
    1. Winter
    2. A week in July

  2. Just Julie says:

Thank you Shari! I wish your snow would drift our way! What seasons did we have in Southern California? 1. Summer 2. Almost summer? What would you say? πŸ™‚

  3. Larry says:

They just don’t sell things here in the south that show degrees below zero, guess y’all need to buid a good fire in the stove or fireplace? Y’all stay warm up thar. πŸ™‚

  4. Just Julie says:

Actually we have had no fires lately, Lar. I just turn the furnace up to 70 for a change. Keeps it nice and warm. πŸ™‚ I prefer a wood stove though….

  5. Ganeida says:

Wet & balmy here. You can keep the cold & snow. πŸ™‚

  6. Just Julie says:

  7. Ember says:

Cold here too tonight – though no way as cold as by you. But I have started a new wormery and am worried about those poor little worms in their not-very-much-to-keep-them-warm-yet home :0\

  8. Just Julie says:

You are possibly the only person who could elicit any shred of sympathy from me concerning the plight of worms. πŸ™‚
