Wednesday’s Word-Edition 94

December 26, 2012 | My Jottings

This is me with my sister-in-law Christy, who feels like a true sister to me. The quote below is just how I feel about her…

“Oh the comfort, the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person, having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but pouring them all right out, just as they are — chaff and grain together — certain that a faithful hand will take and sift them, keep what is worth keeping, and with the breath of kindness blow the rest away.”

Dinah Maria Mulock Craik

Do you have a friend or family member you feel this way about? Will you share a little about them and why this quote might fit them as well? I look forward to reading your comments…

Yes, I do have a friend that I can speak my heart to. She is my Pastor’s
wife Mary. We have been friends since 1980 and I thank God for
her. I also feel very close to your Christy and miss the times your
dad and I made our trips to TN. We had some wonderful times
walking and talking with Savannah on her bike.

I think Mary is a beautiful person inside and out, Dorothy. You are blessed to have her. And we have Christy in common — such a gift to our family! Love you… xxoo

My Aunty Shirley. Probably the only person in the world I never felt I had to explain myself too because her DNA worked the same way. I miss her.

I have a number of wonderful friends [they have to be rather special to not go nutty round me] but I learnt a long time ago most people don’t see the world the way I do. Anyone who sort of gets it I appreciate.

Working on Cait. If we can ditch the ditz in her she’s very compatico… 🙂

  4. Just Julie says:

Thank you for sharing, Ganeida. To be understood is a very precious thing. Perfect agreement doesn’t need to happen, but understanding is wonderful, isn’t it? I sort of like Cait’s ditz. 🙂 xxoo

  5. Ganeida says:

A little ditz is a wonderful thing but one can have too much of a good thing, n’est pas? 😀

  6. Just Julie says:
