“The best thing is neither to seek nor avoid troubles but to follow Christ and take the bitter with the sweet as it may come. Whether we are happy or unhappy at any given time is not important. That we be in the will of God is all that matters. We may safely leave with him the incident of heartache or happiness. He will know how much we need of either or both.”

A.W. Tozer

Greetings dear one! Tozer is one of my favorites.I especially love this quote and needed a reminder that it’s best to take both the bitter and the sweet that life has to offer. You’re in my thoughts and prayers. Rest and get well…

  2. Just Julie says:

Thank you Carey. Up letting the dogs out, who are now shrieking furiously at the many deer in the woods. Back to bed soon. :/

  3. Kay says:

My goodness, I really needed to read that today. I’m feeling very anxious and stressed about a family occasion and it’s making me feel out of control. I need to centre on Jesus and let Him take the reins, but I have a issue with control (I’m a very, very organised person) and I’m finding it hard.

  4. Just Julie says:

Thank you for commenting Kay – I can understand your feelings! May God bring peace and joy to your situation….

  5. Pat B says:

What a beautiful quote from Tozer and the picture you posted is amazing! Hope you feel better.

  6. Just Julie says:

I love Tozer, Pat. I hope you feel better too. :/
