Dear Julie, I have no doubt that you will blessed by speaking out at the retreat. Could it be recorded and put here on your blog?
I’ve just ordered Ann Voskamp’s new book. It’s not available here until 1st December.
I’m about to start a new book that Louisa recommended- Crazy Love by Francis Chan. Louisa has often recommended really good books for me to read.
GREAT NEWS – Andrew has a new job!!! He found out last Friday. We are all so relieved. Thank you for your prayers. He’s also still coming to church with us – Alan and I are so very happy about this. xxx

I know you will do fine at the retreat. Corrie Ten Boom’s story is something people should hear. If we can put ourselves in her place we become part of her story which is part of God’s will. We never know what life will bring. Such stories remind us of the survival of the human spirit and what is good in people. Good is stronger than evil.

I like the suggestion of Book Duo. It’s hard to find a book group but one other person to discuss a book with would be good. I am currently reading Queen of Katwe. Her mentor was a young man, war refugee turned missionary empowering kids in the slums of Uganda to learn chess.

Oh Julie–praying for a sweet and meaningful time at the retreat. Asking the Lord to calm you and give you peace and clarity as you speak the words you’ve prepared. The soup and bread luncheon sounds delicious. I’m reading The Broken Way this evening and enjoying it a lot. Next on my list is When Helping Hurts by Steve Corbett and Brian Fikkert.
