What a neat and easy window treatment! I think I’d also add more rings.
I’m wondering if I once read a story about an unconventional window with a whimsical valance that danced……

I think they look fun as they are; the word whimsical is right. But if over time you start to find them annoying, a few more rings will make them look more conventional. They look great anyway, and the pattern and colour are lovely.

Perhaps they are like the rings of life shown in God’s creation noticed only when you cut the tree down, with time you can always add more, least it sags too much. 🙂
