I will do just as you suggest, Ember. šŸ™‚ And I’ll go out on my front deck and scan the skies for a west-bound plane….

Plus a pot of tea and a book or two, so we can know we are there with you. And a photo of you in one of the chairs so we can know which one is for guests and go and sit in it.

:0)

Thank you for your input Sue! I also much prefer the deep blue lake than the blah white lake. šŸ™‚ God bless your week, dear friend. xoxo

I agree with Sue and Kay. Paint Oval mirror, centering rug, and being able to move the chair placement. In the winter I would only look at the fireplace, not that frozen lake! lol

Sue, I have those slider things somewhere! Thank you for the reminder. I love that idea. God bless you dear Sue… xoxo

I love all the options and painting your mirror is exactly what I would do and a rug would really anchor the space..Now…about the chair placement…I would buy the slider things to go under the chair legs and you can move those chairs around any old time you want. I have some under one of my chairs and it is so easy to just shift them this way and that!

Well I like the way you summarized that, Nancy. Both views are necessary and comforting! Thank you Nancy — I hope you are well! xoxo

Love casing of fireplace.

Ganeida, as much as I like all three options, I’m leaning toward #1 also, for all the reasons you mention. I like being face to face without being completely face to face. I like balance rather than perfect symmetry too. Right now, this is the way the chairs are arranged. I may change it from time to time to give the other options a try too. Thank you! Hugs across the miles… xoxo

I like having the option of both views [fireplace & the lake] & the option of being face to face or slightly averted this setting gives. Ember is right about the hearth & a mirror would reflect the lake though I would be more tempted to go for a large oil painting that you love. lol I’m sure whatever you decide it will look absolutely lovely. You have a real knack for that. xx
