In reply to Ganeida. I am right there with you, Ganeida. I often wonder if I would be a mean and grumpy person if I had to go through all that Michael does. He does put me to shame. What a blessing that your husband has chosen "better over bitter". You are blessed.

Just to say my Dearest broke his back over 10 years ago & now lives with chronic pain ~ thankfully he can still walk! He says the accident is one of the best things to ever happen to him; it has made him a better person. If it were me I’d just be mean & grumpy by now ~ no doubt why I didn’t get this choice little test. Some people are just amazing & put the rest of us to shame.

Amen and hallelujah!
I think sometimes, as well as through being tired or tried, I do and say things I shouldn’t because I am bored or at a loss. For example I might say something unkind about someone to a friend because nothing else of interest is happening to either of us and I can’t think of anything else to talk about.
But I guess if, as you suggest here, we get stuck into the great work and exciting calling that our life actually is, there’ll be plenty to think about and talk about and plenty of stories to swap without having to scratch around for tidbits in the dirt.
