Roberta, I think our struggle is a common one. Most of my friends share the same things — they sense the Lord calling them to come sit at His feet (like Mary) and stop being so fixated on working for Him (like Martha). And they (we) all experience times of thinking we’re not doing much right. 🙁 Thank you for what you’ve so transparently shared. I was disturbed by my own struggle to find meaningful things to do for God, and my feeling that I am unable to please Him. So, your post was so helpful because it brought me back to what I know; even though I
allow myself to be driven by feelings of inadequacy in my desired relationship with God. I have the Oswald Chambers book, and I will refer to it more often, as soon as I can get my books unpacked.
