Your sharing of your experience touched me, Valerie. Thank you for sharing so beautifully. In many ways I feel that my husband Michael was the best representation of Jesus in my life, and now that Michael has moved, it’s so disorienting. I love the thought of Jesus in disguise in your RN, in our friends, strangers, etc. God bless you for your caring words, and for your prayers, dear Valerie. xoxo

I will share something with you…last week I went in for my first colonoscopy. For 5 days before hand I was a twisted up inside nervous anxiety riddled mess. I could find no comfort anywhere. Even Jesus seemed to be quietly absent. I was afraid of the prep, the test, the waiting, and the end results. I was so filled with anxiety that on the day of my test my BP was 150/95. My hands were shaky, I couldn’t settle my self at all. The very air around me felt thick and heavy and hard to breathe in. And I cried as I waited alone in the pre-op area. When the RN came to get me she asked about my stress level and did I have a family history of colon cancer? I told her I did not but that I was still worried. She grabbed my hand told me it would be all right and then held my hand til I went under the anesthesia. I was calmed by her soothing voice and the gentle pressure of her hand in mine. It dawned on me the next day that perhaps the RN was Jesus in disguise. I hope it was. And I hope you find your Jesus and a measure of peace in your own situation. Saying prayers for you Julie.

I like your flag picks, Ganeida. I so understand what you’ve shared about walking in nature. And about your feelings during dark times. Hugs and thank you. xoxo

I relieve dark times by walking in nature. It’s about the only thing that works for me. Prayer doesn’t because I don’t want people during those times ~ not even my Lord & saviour, not even knowing He has the cure for my distress. It’s an awful spiral once caught in that eddy.
