Crying and aching for you both, Julie. I’m so sorry the time came, and proud of you for choosing so lovingly a place where Michael can get even more help than you were giving him. Your pain is palpable, but your love for him even more so. I’ll pray for you both.

I visited a place last week in medjugore and found out how powerful prayer is. I will pray for you and your husband to have the strength the Lord will surely give you.
God has blessed you with a wonderful husband. I was similarly blessed.

Thinking of you, friend. Such a hard choice, but a right and inevitable decision. You couldn’t do it any more. Yesterday when I prayed for your family, I sat you all down one after another in a row, wrapping you each in turn in a soft fleecy robe of the Holy Spirit’s healing light – ‘wrapped in light as in a robe’. The strength of Jesus uphold you, the peace of God be with you.
You and Michael both have had to be so brave.

Dear Julie,
I’m sitting here with tears in my eyes after reading this – I can only imagine how devastating and heartbreaking your decision must have been for you both. I knew that you were probably heading in this direction and I have been praying for you for so long because I could sense that you were really at the end of your strength. I’m sure Michael understands and this way he gets to spend time with you without you being at the end of your strength. It would only have been a matter of time before you would have completely broken under the burden….you have made a very brave decision, but it sounds as though although it breaks your heart, it has been the right one. You are both in my prayers at this agonizing time, Helen xx

Dear Julie, you are acquainting us with what must be the darkest part of the journey we all are on. I bless you for putting your honest and terrible experiences here for us to meditate on.
Maybe I only speak for myself, but I find most of us live, and want to live in the most superficial ways when it comes to valuing the gifts we are given at every moment by God. I have never read anything about your life that
would make you one of those people. You do not hide from, or numb yourself to the most difficult and painful times in life. I think that contributes to making you such a com-passionate person with everyone.
Reading about you and Michael in this moment, the 23rd Psalm came to my mind: ” though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for You are with me…”
You and Michael show great courage, and exceptional faithfulness.
