Hi Kay! I was telling our daughter Sara about your plan of only having sugar when you go out to eat, and she thought that was a good idea. You would still have a treat once in a while and not feel deprived, yet at home the temptations wouldn’t be there. Good for you with your weight loss! I will step on the scale next Monday and see if there has been a change. Love to you and your family too Kay…praying for C, A and L too. xxoo

I can totally relate to the appetite stimulant idea. As you know, I haven’t cut out sugar completely, but when I do have a treat (always when I’m out so as not to make it a regular habit) I then find that my appetite surges. Last Sunday was Mothering Sunday in the UK and Alan took me out for Sunday lunch. I had a lovely three-course meal including a delicious ginger and orange torte. In the evening, I felt I needed some crackers for supper even though I wasn’t at all hungry. During the night, both of us suffered from awful stomach ache. We’d obviously over-eaten, although a few years ago we could easily have put away a three-course meal and not even thought about it. Next time we’ll stick to two courses only. Still, I lost 1.5lbs at my Weight Watchers weigh-in yesterday which means that I did keep to my propoints allowance this past week, Sunday lunch included.
Love to you and yours
Kay

Thank you Sue – you are one of those people who can pour grace on someone with your written words. And yes, I could certainly use some clear discernment right now, so I’m very grateful for that prayer. God bless whatever changes He leads you to make as well..LY…

I can relate more than I want to. It is the single area in my life where I have the hardest time being honest. I don’t want to believe it has such a pull and such far reaching effects. Through your honesty, the Lord is gently inviting me to turn away from it to another way. I have forced myself to give up sugar for varying lengths of time in the past, but have always returned. I have never responded to a gentle invitation. It feels different.

I pray that your discernment will be clearer with a sugar free brain.
