I have seven large file drawers full of files in our office and most of them are not things I can throw away. I can’t imagine a house without papers. Even if I didn’t have so much paperwork to do, I’d still keep the things we need to for taxes, correspondence as you mentioned, etc. I hope your sorting goes well and you feel that much lighter, Ember! xxoo

Sometimes I go into homes where the people have no papers – no files, books, journals, magazine, notepads, manuscripts AT ALL. And I wonder – how do they do that? How do they get through life without any paperwork? I have two big take-a-deep-breath-and-get-on-with-its coming up: one is sorting out the large box of ‘useful’ electrical components under the stairs, the other is sorting through my bulging files of correspondence, liturgical resources and treasured poems/articles.

That’s what my main two areas are, Ganeida…books and paper! Still, I figure little bits at a time add up. Blessings on you today…

MY biggest problem is books ~ & paper. So much paper & I can’t just ditch it. Ugh.

I think about that too, Sue. I remember someone telling me years ago that when 50 things would come into their house at Christmas time, their family made it their policy to donate just as many soon after. I like your mom’s friend’s idea. I’m so glad you like the chair….:)

My mom had a friend who would always give away an item of clothing for every new one she brought in. I admired that.

By the way, we are still enjoying the chair and ottoman you donated to our house a few years ago. I think of you often when I sit in it.

Yes. I, too, “look at the blue.” 🙂
