Hello Rebecca — so nice to meet you! Thank you for stopping by. Ember is a treasure to me, and I know you probably feel the same way. Ahhh, knee replacement. In a nutshell, I’m so grateful that terrible, burning, grinding pain is gone, but I also wish I’d been better prepared for the stiffness and lack of range of motion that often comes with this surgery. The very best site I’ve found for help and excellent information (I think even better than doctor’s info) is http://www.bonesmart.org. Be sure to visit — I learned more there than any other place. I pray your recovery is sweet, complete and speedy. God bless you Rebecca… xoxo

It is helpful to read another’s experience….
I had a total (NOT minimally invasive) replacement a week ago today. Thankful it’s behind me but slowed in rehab because my blood was too thin (so they’re adjusting my Coumidin level before I can proceed). This was a huge disappointment as I’d made up my mind to be thorough in follow-up exercise, etc. I had an emergency hip replacement 6 months ago following a fall. I’d kind of hit a wall in therapy for it because of my bad knee on opposite leg, so this was necessary. In 3 months (perhaps) I may have the other knee replaced and then – FINALLY – get back to “normal”!

How ARE you doing? It’s so encouraging to hear from those who have successfully undergone similar circumstances.

I hope your knee complaining is never more than just that: a little groan or sigh you can live with forever Kay. I’m on my way to Physical Therapy which I’m beginning to dread. I’ve hit a mental and physical wall in the past 2 days and am very weepy and tired. Thank you for your prayers, Kay! xoxo

Those nurses sounded wonderful.
I was a bit nervous about reading your journal because like Ganeida I’m a bit squeamish about things like this.
Also, my left knee is starting to hurt when I go up/down stairs and yesterday it was a bit sore when I drove to Falmouth. But, apart from stairs. driving and kneeling (when it feels like I’m kneeling on very sharp gravel) I can manage very well thank you, and I am definitely not in need of medical attention yet! 🙂
Love to you all
xx

Edith and Millie are good company, Pat. They are so content to do whatever makes us content. Your little two whining to get into the bathroom made me smile. Thank you and see you soon, dear SAGgy friend… xoxo

I love how the Lord worked out your extra day! Wow, what an ordeal – I’m so glad it’s behind you now. I bet the pups are keeping you company when you lay down. I can’t even go into the bathroom without my two whining at the door, ha ha!

Healed, hiking and happy! I like your alliteration, Ginny! I’ll take that. And I know your phone number by heart so will call you if I need something. xoxo
