Julie thought the girls were just taking a rest
Soaking up the sun’s sweet golden rays
But in fact they were devising a crafty plan
To get rid of ‘the scourge’ of their days.

Now a dog’s gotta do what a dog’s gotta do
So if they managed to acquire a few dollars
They thought they could visit a local locksmith
To get rid of those evil bark-collars.

Edith and Millie had it all planned
But this resolution was too hard to keep
After using up their energy to work out this plan
They were exhausted and dropped off to sleep.
