Such beautiful prayers that are being sent, I went to my Bible to
find words that would encourage you both. In just two days the loving
people have lifted you up. Praise God. What I found was in Psalm’s,
When you set your sights on our God, you focus on one “a cut above”
any storm life may bring…You find peace. I will be praying for you
also.

I join with you all and send my prayers for Kay and Alan…prayers of thanksgiving said, too, in reading that you are feeling better! Alan and I would like to thank you and Michael and everyone who has left messages on your blog and/or prayed for us regarding our current financial situation.
We both feel so blessed and humbled by everyone’s love.
Yesterday morning, after another sleepless night, I felt God calling me to pray for forgiveness. I believed I needed to be forgiven for being so angry and resentful towards the man who took our money. So I started to pray for forgiveness and tears started flowing down my cheeks. I immediately felt God removing all traces of depression from me and a weight was lifted from my shoulders.
The police are still trying to return our money to us, but praise God, my ‘spark’ had not been extinguished completely and has been fanned into a roaring flame.
I FEEL GOOD!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂

Lord, I too lift up Kay and Alan to you. Your word tells us that YOU work ALL things together for the good for those of us who love YOU and are called according to YOUR purpose. Lord, Kay and Alan love you and are called according to your purpose. Strengthen them please, give them wisdom and discernment in dealing with this situation. Remind them as often as they need it that YOU have a plan. Remind them as often as they need, the plan is for good and not for disaster, it is to give them a future and a hope. Lord, you tell us if we seek you in earnest, we will find you. I pray that throughout this process in Kay and Alan’s lives right now, YOU will be glorified and honored.

Kay, be encouraged, God is fighting the battle and even though we do not see, we can believe He will be victorious. I read once, though I cannot remember where, that God did not tell us we would be ahead at half-time, only that we would win the game. I have found this encouraging and it has often enabled me to continue to move forward even when faced with significant uncertainty. It is obvious you are greatly loved ~ and you are not fighting this battle alone. God Bless You for sharing, you are a source of encouragement for many of us.

I have so enjoyed Kay’s posts on your blog, Julie. One of the best things about the Internet is how it brings us close to sisters and brothers thousands of miles away as if they lived right next door. Kay, 3 years ago my husband and I experienced a situation in our lives so devastating on so many levels that I became so depressed I didn’t think I could continue on. I had never been given to depression before but I believe that God works His compassion through us in mysterious ways so that our hearts can be knit with others who are going through their own painful situations. Today I pray that you, Kay will experience God’s love, protection, joy and confidence that He will be your advocate and no matter what this might look like in the natural realm, you are His constant concern and He will keep you safely in the palm of His hand. Romans 12 says to ” rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those that are weeping” today we might be weeping but I am confident that rejoicing is coming….we will be praying until the breakthrough comes.

Lord, I pray that in the midst of this battle that Kay and Alan will keep their eyes on You, knowing that as their loving Father, you will keep them safely in the palm of your hand. I also pray that the enemy does not gain a foothold through this, especially in the form of depression. May the joy of the Lord continue to be their strength and may words of encouragement continue to come their way. I also lift up this man involved, that his heart will be convicted and that he will make this right.

Lord, you have placed a hedge of protection by the Blood of Jesus Christ over Kay and Alan. Your word says that, Every weapon formed against us will not prosper and every tongue that rises up against us in judgement will be bought down. We cast down every imagination and every high thought that exalts itself against the knowledge of God and bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Jesus Christ. Lord, fulfill every purpose that you have for their lives.
