I have experienced similar things, Kay. I used to remember details in a freakish way, with no effort whatsoever. Now I have to write everything down and my memory alarms me some days. I enjoy your deep thoughts. 🙂 God bless your day…. xxoo

Obviously, I can remember the really BIG ones, like marriage, childbirth and loss, but not the vast majority of the day-to-day ones. Even when I went through the darkest of times, it all seems a bit of a blur now. And I thought, is this related to the statement Paul made about being content in all things? Because if we are to be truly content in all things, then we MUST live in the present. No looking back nostalgically/regretfully, no looking forward apprehensively.
Perhaps it’s an age thing, but this morning it seemed rather scary to reflect on how much I can’t remember. So then I turned to God who is the great I AM and just enjoyed being in His presence. I AM, no need for I was or I will be, just I AM. And I suppose as we now have eternal life in Jesus Christ, I too, can say I am.
(This is all a bit deep for me, especially first thing in the morning. But I just wanted to share as to where my thoughts were leading me. I believe it’s related to your post and Dorothy’s thoughts on said post.)

My age tells me that the years are going so fast and knowing there
will be no tears in Heaven, my bad habits of worrying seems to
be less. It is so comforting to know that God is in charge.
