I had both eyes done last year and for the first time in almost 50 years, I don’t need glasses to see in the distance (and really, even closer… my vision was about 20/450 before surgery). I wear readers now for using my phone and laptop. I only had the basic surgery with single-vision lenses implanted; tonic lenses would have cost me an extra couple thousand per eye, so I was happy to take what the insurance gave me for nearly free.
