OK. I went straight to the knee replacement post and commented…..then came back here to “catch up”. Surprise! One of the reasons I put off knee surgery was because my 87 year old mother is in the special care unit for dementia since last September when my father could no longer care for her. I actually broke my hip when leaving the Home in March. I have found great joy in visiting her 3-4 times a week (we live about an hours drive from her) and she looks forward to my visits–she thinks I’m her sister 🙂 I knew it would be several weeks till I could drive and it would be more difficult to see her….. It’s a little different than the emotions connected with a spouse… It sounds like Michael is in an EXCELLENT facility! While Mother’s is state-of-the-art in appearance, I could wish for a little more of the activities and stimulation you describe.

What a wonderful testimony by Denise. Michael and you have been through the fire and can relate to Job. Years ago I saw a movie on T.V. of a woman who was imprisoned and beaten and mistreated. Her courage was unbelievable and have prayed for the same courage that she was able to handle. It was a true story and have thought of it often. I also saw Megan Kelly interview the pregnant woman who was imprisoned for renouncing her Muslim faith and becoming a Christian. She had her second child in prison. Every question that Megan asked her, she gave the same response, God was supplying all her needs. She is safe in the U.S. with her husband an children. I will pray that the patch works and when it does you can see Michael more often.
