I just had a thunk! Perhaps a more Japanesy arrangement, simple, yet following the flow of the plate lines? I have no idea really. Totally random thoughts here.

Thank you for your thoughts, Ganeida! You’re right about the picture sort of jumping out – I see that too. Since I have a florist in the household, I’ll have to see about a flower arrangement, and play around with how that looks. I hope to talk to you soon….

I love the plates & the candles look fine to my eye. The picture jars ~ being heavy & square with all those lovely flowing lines. Perhaps a round bowl of flowers…?

In reply to Kay in UK. I think you're right about the candles, Kay, and thought that burning them a little more would help! And I usually get my ideas from magazines too, but this one was just a fluke. And probably wouldn't be found in any decent magazine. :) xxoo

I am amazed as to how perfectly you have positioned those plates on your wall – they look so very stylish.
Now, I am just not original when it comes to decorating. I get all my ideas from magazines. I just know I like something when I see it. My only little quibble with your second experiment is that maybe the candles on the left of the picture are a little too high? Please don’t take my word for it, but if you agree, then you could easily sort the candles out by using them for a romantic supper with your beloved. 🙂
