Now that is funny, Kay – Michael would have the opposite of the man flu when he gets sick then. He never makes a big deal of any illness and downplays it. Thank you for sharing that link. 🙂

Glad you are feeling better. I can really relate to this blog. I fight selfishness on a daily basis. Your plaque would be a good reminder for me (I would need to put one in every room in the house). I’ve never heard Eden’s Bridge before so now I want to go to Amazon and listen to some of the music!

You comment made me laugh out loud Ember! The police station! Hahahaha! Sounds like we humans, doesn’t it? I’ve never heard of Father Ted – is that the name of the series? We are watching the very outdated “All Creatures Great and Small” again and being utterly transported to Yorkshire all over again, where I want to live. Sigh. Made I larf.

There was also a wonderful Father Ted episode in which his housekeeper Mrs Doyle went out for coffee with a friend. At the end, one said: “I’ll pay!”
“No – *I’ll pay*” responded the other.
The resulting exchange, trying to stuff money into each other’s purses etc, got first heated, then violent, until the two dishevelled women ended up at the police station.

But maybe that wasn’t quite what you had in mind . . .

Good to see you’re back on line, Julie.
There are so many things that I too would do differently if I had my life over again. But, to quote a badly over-used cliche, ‘Today is the first day of the rest of my life’ and although I can’t always put things right from past times, I can try to improve from today.
Oh and by the way, Alan has said (and I quote!), ‘Tell Julie that I have man-flu’! 🙂 ‘Nuff said.
