When I read that you had been reading through James recently, I thought that it would be a good idea for me to re-read this book. I read it a couple of days ago while I was suffering from immense stomach pains because of a sickness bug. (Talk about going through trials!) The reading of James not only helped to take my mind off my discomfort, but it also bombarded me with many truths that I hadn’t seen before (or perhaps hadn’t acknowledged – that’s quite a difference). And that was just a quick read through.
So Alan and I are going to work our way through James slowly and steadily and not only read it, but truly endeavour to put his truths into practice.
So, if I hadn’t been laid up and feeling miserable, perhaps I wouldn’t have got around to reading my ‘medicine’. God wastes nothing!

I love that you posted these verses from The Book of Acts!
They have always captured me, too! I have a little calligraphy piece that I did a long time ago, of: “In Him we live and move and have our being.” I made it into a magnet
and had it on our fridge for years 🙂
