I understand patriotism too, Ganeida (I’m using the old spelling — you changed it?!) but know it can turn into idolatry… God bless you friend… xoxo

That’s what dragged Germany through the dirt. I just don’t get it. One can be proud of one’s country & heritage without all the flag waving, yah~hooing & *we’re the greatest* propaganda. In the light of both history & eternity it doesn’t mean much.

as I am not into that part of the holiday. I agree with everything
Larry said and wish our country was not going down the path
that it is going. By the way, Happy Birthday Larry.

Thank you for your thoughts, Larry. So much seems to be changing in the world. I’m so glad to be in Christ. xo

The forth of July does not mean to me what it use to, rather it is a reminder of the past, yes I said past, as our country is not the country that I was born in, it has become the nation that now needs to turn around and bless the Lord, rather than continuing to ask that God bless America.

We are now the most killing of life – nation in the world.

Every American alive, pays taxes to a government that pays for abortions out of those same taxes to third world countries all over the globe of His creation.

We are killing babies here in our own nation’s borders more than the number of men being killed in all of the wars all over the globe. All for the sake of liberty’s.

We now have more people that are more worried about their own rights rather than the desires of our Savior and our Father God.

As a nation, we have left trillions of dollars in Iraq such as tanks and f-16’s and every other type of war machine possible.

These same pieces of military equipment are being seen on our own TV scenes as we view the war of Muslim killing Muslim in Syria and Iraq, knowing there will be more to come.

There will be a day when what we as a nation have provided to the Muslim nations in the Middle East will be turned against Israel and then against us, and this nation and it’s people of ours will be solely at fault and blame.

We have political parties that consider their desires first before those in need that they represent in their own districts where they were elected into office.

So as we look forward to the fourth of July’s in the future, we might also wonder if we will be a nation that still exists as a free nation?

Our borders are like open windows, and because of this we know that our holidays such as the July 4th are not long for future celebrations.

Perhaps this holiday not being important to you, is for a reason that reflects what is in store and yet to come?

I once did not agree with your view of this holiday, but now with all that has pasted and is continuing to happen, I have changed and now I also agree with your position and feelings towards the celebration of our nations freedom.

Love you Sis:

Larry
