Well I just finished reading 'Same Kind Of Different As Me', which Julie kindly sent me :0)
I was meant to be saving it for later but folks needed me to be in available mode for a while so I couldn't write: I read instead. Just what I needed to get me kick-started into the next bit of writing - a chapter about personal experience of bereavement. Thanks Julie! :0D
Then I am reading 'An Infinity of Little Hours', about 5 men's experiences of Carthusian novitiate. The Carthusian monasteries remained unchanged between the 11th century & the mid-1960s after Vatican II - so Carthusian monks offer a direct link to the middle ages. And in the post today came 'The Gentle People', a new book about the Amish way.
