This has been very exciting reading all your responses! I think of you all when I write my own prayer requests out and drop them into the slot of my Ryka shoe box. It looks like a shoe box, but with my spiritual eyes I can see our loving and powerful Savior on the other side, taking those burdens and doing with them what only He can do. How timely. I found myself worrying again after doing my weekly office bill work, although I am getting better at giving it all to God, I still have much room for improvement!

I will try. I confess that at times worrying comes as naturally to me as breathing. I have fully experienced how God has accomplished wonders in my life and am ready to give over to Him another thing that robs me of peace.
I like your example Tauni; turn the worry around and put in the form of a petition, followed by thanksgiving.
This is going to be harder than chocolate and Cheez-Its.

Great idea Rob! I would also add be specific. While for me worrying about getting the bills paid each month was constant and a big mountain, I also broke it down to, “God, please provide $78.03 for the electric bill. Thank you!”

Thanks Julie, for sparking this wonderful technique for seeking God’s peace and dealing with the thing that is very prevalent in stealing it! I will be praying for you all!
