I find it quite handy, because it means I can get a good stretch of work done before anyone else wakes up. It's easy on the part of the week when my husband is away: when he's home I am concerned about disturbing him. I quite like it, but it adds the the various things that make me impossible socially. Bedtime is much earlier now. I went to see a production of Strauss's opera Die Fledermaus last week - which is hilarious, loud and bawdy with stirring tunes and a good sized-cast bellowing out over an orchestra giving it their all (my daughter was playing trombone, that's why I went).
