The above post is from my oldest brother Larry. He had a candy-apple green Corvette when I was a little girl, and took me to the beach with him several times, and we enjoyed date (meaning the real fruit called a date) shakes from a little stand on the side of the road. Here's the strange part: I actually thought that if I sat next to my brother as we drove, the people who saw us driving along on the freeway might think I was his girlfriend! I was around seven or eight years old! Or nine at the most. And I hoped people would mistake me for a young woman in my twenties because I was in his cool car with him. Was I naive or what? Very good memories, though...

Now that the contest is over I wanted to enter some of my top things.

1. Driving along Pacific Coast highway with a surfboard on a trailer in the back that I made, it was 11'2" Hobby kit much longer than those today.

2. Driving my corvette with no cares just enjoying the rides.

3. Taking my little sister on a big brother date with her sitting like a big girl next to me except she was sitting on the counsul between the two seats and lots of conversation.

4. Getting a date shake every time I went to the beach or to surf.

5. Cruising Bob's Big Boy with my hot engine at a loud idle, enjoying the flames couming out of my side pipes. I had a circuit racing engine produced by GM with no mufflers.

6. Taking my daughter on a daddy daughter date which we still to this day do.

7. Dancing with my daughter when she was younger with her standing on the top of my feet in a special dress.

8. Taking my wife and daughter out each christmas to see the lights of the homes all fixed up.

9. Being over flowed with the love of the Lord to the point that I can no longer hold back my tears of Joy.

10. Loving the quiet times I have on my lawn mower singing songs of worship and praise.

These are in no particular order

Yea!!....Thank you! That really was fun. I have to say the flamingo tattoo made me laugh out loud; and Sharon, I already knew that you drive with your knees because I read YOUR blog. I also know it's not because you're tending to your children.:)

Wahoo!!! New CD! :-) Yay!
Thanks Aunt Julie!

Hmmm... as for music that I listen to in the car... I would say that 90% of the time it would be a christmas CD. Yes, I said 90% of the time meaning I don't just listen to Christmas music at Christmas time. If you have never heard of Pandora radio you need to check it out, because you can type in any Christmas song you like and it will play ALL the Christmas songs you like! Other music that I am constantly listening to is Brooke Fraser (AMAZING) and Hillsong and Needtobreathe.

As for Music that I abhore, anything screaming. I'm ok with rap (CLEAN rap, mind you) but nothing that causes a headache. OH! And I forgot to mention that I DESPISE Bluegrass and most country.

I really prefer all Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Michael Buble, Colbie Caillat, etc. Easy listening is my fav.
